With Como currently on a run of losses, the rising Serie A outfit will hope to return to the winning column this weekend when they take on Lecce on away soil.
Como suffered back-to-back defeats in Serie A heading into this weekend’s list of action, as they succumbed to negative results against Inter Milan and AS Roma respectively.
Their 1-0 loss against Roma in matchday 15 left them lingering in seventh place with 24 points to their name, while Lecce are in 14th on 16 points.
Contrary to that of Como, Lecce jotted down a 1-0 win against Pisa on 12 December as they bounced back from a 2-0 loss against Cremonese during matchday 14.
Como and Lecce share an identical record across their last five league ties, with both sides accumulating two wins, two losses and one draw during this period.

Como coach Cesc Fabregas created a stir in Serie A football media recently after he weighed in on Assane Diao’s inclusion to Senegal’s Africa Cup of Nations squad despite being injured.
While Diao suffered a hamstring injury, the winger was summoned by Senegal for AFCON, a call that Fabregas was not happy with.
"Playing for the national team is the best thing for a player. I asked [Senegal], please, for some common sense, to not take him because he has played three games in eight months, a bit here, a bit there after playing a full game against Napoli,” Fabregas said.
"He then went away on international duty, got injured, was out for a month, and came back now. It happens. I'm sorry for the boy because today [against Roma], he probably shouldn’t have played either.
"I didn't like that. It wasn't a pleasant conversation [With Senegal Football Federation]. When you play on the fears of the player, that's wrong.
"He is 20 and has his entire career ahead of him. I don't think it's right, honestly."
