Aaron Rai will be looking to become only the second player to defend his title at the
Wyndham Championship from Thursday, July 31 to Sunday, August 3.
The Englishman claimed his maiden career TGA Tour win when he carded an 18-under 262 to beat Max Greyserman (USA) by two strokes in 2024.
Sam Snead - a record eight-time champion - is the only player to have secured back-to-back wins at the Sedgefield Country Club, achieving the feat on two occasions.
Rai, who is ranked No. 35 in the world, has competed in 18 events this year, with his best performance coming at the Mexico Open when he finished T4 - his only top-10 in 2025.
The 30-year-old is entering unchartered territory as a defending champion on the Tour and admits his victory in Greensboro, North Carolina has been the pinnacle of his career to date.
"Over here, even if you're already competitive in Europe, there's definitely a few things you have to learn to adapt to," Rai said.
"So, to go one step further and win last year was truly a dream come true. I truly understood how hard it is to get to that point. So, it was extremely fulfilling when that happened."
